Hi all, Is there a place in the controller or other method where I can redefine the origin with an offset to correct nominal tolerance issues on our parts on our Amada Coma 555 turret with the Amadan 04PC control? I haven’t found a method to do this in the manual. I’m a newbie when it comes to turret punch operation.
The company has had this machine at work for several years and it is currently only utilized for small and simple parts because of Y location issues after reposition for only maybe 10 hours per week. From what I can tell, the machine is in decent shape but hasn’t been maintained well for several years. When we get this figured out, we should be able to load the machine up. I’ve run a few test programs punching holes in a line across a strip and measuring the X and Y on each hole to determine how far we’re off.

After replacing clamps / hold down feet / thorough cleaning, I’m getting an X location repeatability of +/- 0.005” on 60 holes across 10’ with 2 repositions. Today I’ll be adding 0.030” shims to one of the clamps make the faces of the clamps equal in the Y. My aim would be to adjust the X axis about 0.020” and the Y about 0.040”.

After reading through the programming manual I think I could use a re-origin code to compensate for this on test parts, but would like to keep from having to modify the code on all of our parts. Similar Threads:. Need Help!-. Need Help!-.
