As a MSE, the only manuals he has ever seen in a dealship environment are the 'OEM Workshop Manuals'- they are a 2 volume series as compared to the Service/repair manual which is a single volume. The printed manuals are digitalized and that is what you find on the Ford DVD. So I guess it really falls to whether you want paper or PC. I bought all 3 of my DVD's from a Dealership Service Manager.
Each time he gets the latest revision, he posts the old copies up on eBay for sale. I could have picked up those paper copies, but the cheapest I've found so far was about $75 on Amazon.com and that is alot of dough when I can pay 1/5 the money and print as needed. BTW, it becomes 2 manuals when you add in all the wiring and vacuum/hose. Without those, it's just a single manual about 3' thick. Your money, but I suggest the DVD.
